Baguette-cut stones in a full pave setting, running from the case edge down through every bracelet link, all in gold tone. The Prism Gold is the most overtly decorative watch in the range, and it is built to be worn as one.
The baguette cut is the detail that separates this from a standard stone-set watch. Rectangular stones are set edge to edge in a grid, so light reflects in a stepped pattern rather than a uniform sparkle. At arm’s length the surface reads as a continuous sheet of gold. Up close it resolves into hundreds of individual cuts, and that shift is the whole reason to choose this over a cheaper setting.
The case is 48 mm stainless steel at 14 mm thick, which is deliberately large. This is a watch that covers most of the wrist and is meant to. Inside is a quartz movement, chosen because it keeps the case from getting thicker than it already is. Mineral crystal over the dial. The 20 mm bracelet closes on a butterfly clasp, which keeps a heavy case from tipping forward the way a pin buckle would.
Gold tone is the louder of the two Prism finishes, and it sets the rules for what you wear it with. It works best against black, cream, deep green and rich brown. It does not work well next to silver jewelry or cool grey tailoring, where it will look out of place rather than bold.
Practical notes. 3 ATM covers rain and hand washing, not swimming, and stones should stay clear of chlorine and sand regardless. A 14 mm case will not slide under a tight shirt cuff, so wear it with an open cuff or a bare wrist. Gold tone is a plating, so keep abrasive polishes away from the case and bracelet, and keep perfume and hairspray off it, since alcohol dulls the finish.
If 48 mm is more than you want, the Halo Gold offers the same hand-set approach in a 46 mm case at 11 mm thick.
