Most stone-set watches announce themselves from across the street. The Halo Black doesn’t. Dark case, dark dial, dark stones, all in the same tonal range, so from a distance it reads as a solid black watch. Then the light changes and the whole surface breaks up.
That effect is the reason this colorway exists. Setting dark stones on a dark case removes the contrast that makes cheaper stone watches look busy, and it means the watch works with black tailoring in a way the gold and silver versions simply cannot. It is the only one in the range that can be worn to something formal without reading as flash.
The build is shared with the rest of the Halo line: 46 mm stainless steel case at 11 mm thick, hand-set stones across bezel, dial and bracelet, quartz chronograph movement with three sub-dials, mineral crystal, and a 20 mm steel bracelet on a butterfly clasp. The dark finish is applied to the case and bracelet rather than being a bare metal, so treat it the way you would treat any coated surface.
That means: no abrasive polishes, no scouring pads, no aggressive cleaning. Wipe with a dry soft cloth. Keep perfume, hairspray and sunscreen off the case, because alcohol and oils in those products break down dark coatings faster than they affect bare steel. If the coating does wear at a high-contact point like the clasp, that is normal and it will be gradual rather than sudden.
Water resistance is 3 ATM, so rain and hand washing are covered and swimming is not. The stones are the other reason to keep it away from water and sand.
If you want a stone-set watch that does not read as jewelry, this is the one. If you want maximum sparkle, look at Halo Silver or Halo Gold instead.

Ordered Tuesday, arrived the following Thursday. Box was intact, watch was wrapped twice.

Looks better in person. Darker than the listing photos, more like gunmetal.

Black stones on a black case — this is the one that does not scream. My favorite of the three I bought.
